After Sunday breakfast at the tiny and delightful Cafe Rosamond in Charles St Fitzroy (just off Smith St), went to "A Day in Pompeii" at the Melbourne Museum. A great exhibition, nothing brings history to life more than the actual physical artefacts of the time. Bronzes, jewellery, glassware, frescos and items of daily life. There are also the eerie body casts of the poor unfortunates that didn't escape. Too much to describe here, you just have to see it for yourself.
